*Web Application Developer* *New York, NY* *6+ months* *I do need locals only, yes * We’re looking for: · 1-3+ Years experience with deploying and maintaining web applications in a Linux environment · Experience with node.js or another web framework · Experience with using an building RESTful services and SOA · Experience and solid understanding of HTML5, JS, CSS, etc. Strong knowledge of JQuery and other widely-deployed JS frameworks. · Solid understanding of web technologies - HTTP, caching, etc. · Strong verbal and written communications skills Your responsibilities will include: · Work with designers to build and deploy web applications for administrative sites as well as customer-facing web sites · Work with operations engineers and QA to design high availability and best practices in deployment and monitoring · Write tests for these applications and look for continuous improvement opportunities · Research new web technologies and look for opportunities to maintain cutting edge technology in our web application stack · Work with operations teams and architects to assist in providing best service with lowest cost These skills are ways to stand out, but not required: · Experience with cloud environments, esp.
