Must haves** : Experience upgrading to Oracle 12c. * *Knowledge of advanced concepts such as data guard and RAC a must, healthcare exp is must.* *Oracle DBA * *12+ Months Contract* *Phone and skype* Responsibilities: The key responsibilities are maintaining/administering/upgrading Oracle databases in both data guard & non dataguard environments on AIX, writing or modifying Unix shell scripts, performance tuning and mentoring other DBAs and software engineers when needed. Each day starts with DBA status meeting to discuss overnight issues and any changes taking place that day. Review any logs for errors to ensure successful completion of maintenance/backup jobs. Attend meetings and complete tasks for assigned projects. Monitor the DBA Requests mailbox and respond to submitted requests within the established SLAs. Perform SqL code reviews to ensure best practices are being followed. *Desired Skills and Experience* *Skills - Oracle database administration (5 years) upgrading from 10g & 11g databases to 12 c; AIX 7.1 (2 years); Unix shell scripting (3-5 years);* **Healthcare experience* *Experience upgrading to Oracle 12c.
