Role: VMware System Engineer (75% Remote with some onsite) Job Type: Contract Duration: 4-6+ Months Location: Chicago IL Start Date: ASAP *Candidates must have network support experience, PowerShell scripting, active directory and SAN would be a huge plus.* One of our clients is planning a data center migration and needs a Systems Engineer with a strong background in VMware. The role will involve serving as the primary resources in the migration of approximately 10 VMware virtual machines to a new data center using the VMware conversion process. Responsibilities will include identification of the client's applications and contacts and arranging for testing of applications, along with planning of conversion activtiies, performing mock transitions and support for the live cutover when it takes place. The role will require some amount of on-site time in a Chicago-area client facility.
