*Duration: 9 – 12 month contract, * *Mode of interview: Phone only * *Mgr wants Medical Device/FDA background.* *KEYS, Degree, Med Device, C/C++, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi development and testing, Validation/Verification, embedded systems, debuggers * *SUMMARY:* *Under the direction of the Electrical Engineering Manager and in collaboration with other engineering staff including outside design firms, this position will be responsible for the development, testing and launching of products (existing and new) that will satisfy marketing specifications, end-user requirements and FDA/ISO requirements. Emphasis is placed on new software development activities, specifically in the area of embedded design, Bluetooth, WIFI and smart device apps.* *The ideal candidate must be experienced in C/C++ programming, Bluetooth/wi-fi, software development and testing. He/she will hold a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, and will have worked as a software development engineer in the medical device industry for at least 5 years.* *Prefer local candidates only, but may consider qualified candidates residing in the San Diego or Riverside Counties.* *CORE RESPONSIBILITIES/ ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:* *• This position’s responsibilities have aspects of authoring software documentation, software design, project management, and Verification/Validation activities.* *• Initiates product development projects and partners with team members to ensure robust design and smooth transfer to manufacturing.* *• Conduct hazard analysis, participate in design reviews and code reviews according to FDA design control regularly.* *JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES* *• BS/MS in Computer Science plus five years relevant experience * *• Must have a working knowledge of software development, trends and systems.
