*1 Job Title : Principal Architect, Enterprise Data Services* *Location : Atlanta GA* *Mode: : Phone and Skype* *Duration : 6+* The Principal Architect acts as a key IT leader and Business Partner for the Enterprise Data Services team in the Enterprise Dev and Ops organization. This role will be responsible for developing and driving a single E2E architecture strategy, blueprint, framework and process for purposes of BI and Analytics. This must be developed and driven in a collaborative approach with key business stakeholders/leaders in BI & Analytics. " Architecture Strategy & Roadmap " Conceptual Architecture & Blueprint " Architecture Standards & Policies " Architecture Design & Solutions (Key Initiatives) " Architecture Committee & Engagement Model " Research & Development (R&D) - Methodology, Technologies and Tools Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions: " Develop and drive to an adopted vision, strategy and roadmap with key architect across the Business and IT focused on the value, usage, impact, and flow into/out of the BI & Analytics system(s). This will be used as a key input (anchor, guidance and sound boarding) for investment decisions and company strategy enablement. " Create a Conceptual Architecture and sanctioned Blueprint (data centric) that spans the data lifecycle and covers the business, information/data, applications/sources and end solution layers. Establish the guidelines, rules and decision process to align company strategies to a scalable and flexible architecture for our data and associated technologies and solutions. " Develop and drive adoption of architecture standards and policies within EDS, across Technology and with business stakeholders. Coordinate and work with Information Management and Operations leads within EDS to develop and integrate accordingly for purposes of governance, security, data design/development and operations. " Develop an Architecture Committee and engagement model with a business counterpart under the direction of the Executive Steering Committee and Councils (representing Data & Analytics). Facilitate and drive strategic level architecture approach, design and solutions for review and approval. " Establish partnership and serve as a key liaison with Application Owners/Architects within Technology to embed BI & Analytics architecture requirements and design upfront in the application solutions and design process. " Facilitate, gather feedback and drive architecture design with the Data/Information Architects and Solutions Architects within EDS. Create executive level proposals and present options as a result for key initiatives and projects coming through the pipeline. " Serve as a facilitator and negotiation within the EDS team of architects in a collaborative environment. Identify key gaps, issues and needs within the architecture and bring together the recommendations, options and prioritization. " Provide guidance, coaching and leadership to EDS architects. " Serve as a key liaison and leader on the architecture for EDS an ensure delivery in key programs and initiatives. " Define key objectives and drive architecture design and solutions to solve common problems such as but not limited to: (1) non-integrated data architecture across stacks (2) duplicative solutions due to lack of architecture (3) opportunities to increase efficiencies of data lifecycle management and operations through sound architecture " Monitors industry trends and evaluate new methodologies, technologies and tools for potential deployment and/or use to support emerging business needs from an architecture perspective. Work with EDS peer group to review and drive prioritization for R&D and future state conceptual architecture and blueprint. " Conduct industry analysis and research, develop and present business cases to grow and scale Information Management. Identify and develop RIO cases within CCI to drive value across operational efficiency, organizational effectiveness, cost reduction and revenue growth. " Leads or supports the development of strategic directions and business roadmaps for the current state and the evolution of Enterprise Data Services " Develops, rationalizes, and aligns roadmaps for enhancing the capacity and capability of the Cox's Technology infrastructure and its supported applications, platforms and processes " Initiates and manages engagements with external vendors and internal organizations within Cox Communications including but not limited to leading or supporting RFI and RFP processes. " Establish strategic partnership with Enterprise Data Services teams to include Business Enablement, Information Management and Data Operations. Establish a partnership with BI & Analytics stakeholder communities and leadership. " Facilitate active partnerships with Cox Enterprises, Cox Automotive, Cox Media Group, etc. to stay abreast, leverage best practices and lessons learned in the growth for Cox Communications. " Coordination and active role to develop, implement, and manage the Enterprise Data Services roadmap with EDS leadership team. " Provides oversight and tracking of overall financial budgets, forecasts and actuals to ensure alignment between vendors, technology and business customers. Minimum " BS/BA degree in related discipline (i.e. Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, etc.). " 15+ years of experience required in related field (i.e. Engineering Computer Information Systems) " 10+ years in developing and executing architecture strategies, design and implementing solutions - Business Intelligence, Analytics, Information/Data Architecture and Technical Solutions Architecture.
