Thanks! running netbackup 5.1mp3. we also have a ns702g (5.3.10-4). i just created few files with the first 8+ chars the same and was able to restore fine. do the files you are trying to restore have spaces in them? the example file that is in the support doc does and i havent tried spaces in the filename to see if it makes a difference. aaarrrggghhh!!!!
