rather than just creating: exclude_list You should create: exclude_list.HOSTNAME-OS From:

[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of WEAVER, Simon Hi Not knowing much about Linux clients, my
guess would be, to exclude certain roots or folders, you would goto the
properties of the client and add then in the exclude list. I would think this is done on the master,
under host properties / clients and/or the client itself. This is what I would do if excluding
certain do. I assume you have stopped / restarted all relevant netbackup
services for changes to take affect? Now I did read somewhere that on 5.1, NBU
has a problem with EXCLUDING folders on certain clients, and I think (??) this
may have been fixed in MP4. Not sure if this will help the problem, but wanted
to share in case anyone could clarify this. Finally, may be worth a look at this http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/277121.htm Hope its of some help - trying to assist
where I can really! My other feeling was, maybe there is a Command line that
can be used to verify if the exclude list is either there or in effect Thanks Simon
