You could run "vmoprcmd -d ds" within a cron-driven script.

 

It's what most of us do, I think.

On Solaris systems, is there a way to monitor a log file, other than messages, for AVR status or no communication to the robot? I've looked through all the logs i thought might have this info and didn't come up with anything.
