There weren't any obvious persistent connections but I've found it works much better if you use one account for everything.
I've figured out that the deploy remotely I needed to be logged onto the Netbackup server using the same credentials that I was going to use for the Netbackup remote installation process.  This may seem obvious (and was an obvious step in troubleshooting) but Omniback used to allow you to be logged on the cell manager with one account and specify another account for the client push.
I've also found that the Master/Media server needs to be rebooted after the remote client installation before you can remotely install MP2 (it may be possible to stop/start some services to have the same effect but a reboot worked a treat).

Cheers,

Tim

This can happen if the servers already have a persistent connection using a different account. For example if you have a persistent mapped drive that uses a different account name. This connection survives a re-boot and will always show this error when you attempt to install NBU. You have to disconnect this before proceeding.

Hope that helps
Steve

I've been testing to see if it's possible to deploy multiple clients remotely from the same session but it's not looking good. I've come across some strange issues with authentication on the remote clients.
In my test environment, I've got a Windows 2003 box and a Windows 2000 box. Both have exactly the same local admin password and both have the exact same domain accounts as local admins. However, when I go through the remote deployment and am prompted for the account to use to install on the remote system, I'm told that I'm connected with an account other than the one I use, despite having just rebooted both servers and not having connected to either of them.
Sometimes the account I want to use works and sometimes it doesn't and although it may not be random, it seems to be quite random at times.
Ideally I'd like to do it this way, because it's obviously alot more convenient to roll-out more than one client at a time; has anyone had a play with this and what's been the general conclusion?

Cheers,
