The DSSU is designed to be almost full all the time so a df is rather
useless. What I would like to know is how space I can actually write to and
that's dependent on what has already been destaged. We also keep track of
how old the oldest images is on disk and also how many GB are on disk that
has not been destaged.

We've run into issues in the past where we're not destaging fast enough -
without some good metrics you can only guess that you're done destaging
before the next set of backups start up.
