I should also add that the drives that are correctly configured are on fabric
"A" of SAN; and, the drives that will not configure are on fabric "B."

All the other media servers (a mixture of HP-UX and TRU 64) have all 16 of the
drives configured properly.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Linux Media Server problem

We recently upgraded tu NBU 6.0 MP5.

When we did this we added a linux media server.

The Linux media server will only configure for drives 1-7 and 15.

It says "missing device path" for drives 8-14 and 16. (the devices files are on
the media server ready for use, but the autoscan does not assign the paths)

Does anyone know what the problem could be? It has become very frustrating and
Symantec has not been a lot of help.

Thanks.
