NB_6.5.3 is the server patch. If this is a pure client only system,  
then you need the NB_CLT_6.5.3 patch.

The error happens because the installer is looking for a /usr/openv/ 
netbackup/version file. That file only exists in servers. The client  
version is kept at /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/version.
