Simon, I don't think the term "media server" really exists any more, at least as far as licensing is concerned. I think you just need a "Netbackup Enterprise Server" license for whatever platform. I don't think there's any difference in cost/licensing between a master server and a media server.
What used to be called a "SAN Media Server" is now an "Enterprise Client". There's also "SAN Client", which is a client which pushes it's data to a media server over FC using the Fibre Transport.
