Absolutely correct. Also, if those TSM files are large, you will get good performance. All you need to plan is that at the time your 30 minute slot comes round, the shared tape drive is not in use by another server. How hard that is depends on whether you have a fixed 30 minute slot or 'any 30 minutes'.
