Just put the tape you want to restore from in the standalone drive. I
have a sdlt standalone on my master as well as a library. And when I
need to do a restore I just put it in the standalone drive.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Netbackup 5.1 to use a specific tape drive
forrestoration.

The current setup of the Netbackup is 1 unit of Server running Solaris 8
configured as Netbackup Master/Media Server. 1 unit of L180 tape
library with 4 SDLT320 tape drives and 1 unit of SDLT320 standalone tape
drive is connected to the server. May I know how to restore using the
SDLT320 standalone tape drive instead of using the L180 tape library?

Note: Backup of the client was to the L180 tape library SDLT320 tape
drive and the tape needed for the restoration have been identified and
ejected from the L180 tape library.
