I assume that you're using FlashBackup-Windows policy type. Virtual RDMs are backed up when ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES is selected.
Due to the limitation with vStorage API, pyhsical RDMs are not supported so that ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES directive can't effect on this type of RDM.
