Hi, Here is my high level upgrading plan from SFHA 4.1 to SFHA 5.1SP1. Please feel free to comment.
Environment: two nodes NFS/Netbackup cluster on solaris 10, root disks are using zfs. Procedure: 1. Preparing for Upgrade. Download the 5.1 release Copy /etc/llttab /etc/llthosts /etc/gabtab files to .SAV files and make a backup. Make backup of all ".cf" files. 2. Fail over all services from "Node A" to "Node B". Make sure all service groups are frozen and non-critical. nodeB# hastop -all -force nodeB# hasys -freeze nodeB 3. Start Upgrade on "Node A" VCS should already be down on "A" <Upgrade> VM, FS and VCS to 5.1 using installation script: nodeA#/cdrom/cluster5.1sp1/volume_manager/installvm <=upgrade VM nodeA#/cdrom/cluster5.1sp1/file_system/installfs <=upgrade vxfs nodeA#reboot <=per installation requirement nodeA#/cdrom/cluster5.1sp1/cluster_server/installvcs <=upgrade vcs nodeA# reboot <=per installation requirement nodeA#copy back gabtab, llthosts, llttab and all *.cf files ... After nodeA upgrade finished, failover everything to nodeA and do same thing on nodeB. There is one questions: will 4.1 license work under 5.1SP1? Thanks in advance, carl _______________________________________________ Veritas-ha maillist - Veritas-ha@mailman.eng.auburn.edu http://mailman.eng.auburn.edu/mailman/listinfo/veritas-ha
