Hello Doug and list. I have a rather easy one for you guys. Solaris 5.5.1 Sun Enterprise Volume Manager 2.5.
Here is the volume in question. Plex db2-02 is detached due to an io failure for sub disk may05-d3-01 or c5t48d0. The messages log hasn't had any errors since September regarding this physical disk. So I want to reattach this plex db2-02 to this volume db2 to see if it will resynchronize. If it fails or gives any errors I will have the disk replaced and resync at that time. My questions.. 1) What is the correct command to use to reattach db2-02 to db2 in the situation below without taking the db2 volume offline? I am thinking "vxplex att db2 db2-02". 2)Will I have to use vxmend to place the plex in the stale state first? Not sure of the exact steps.
