Checked there. Problem was there was a VXVM5.0_UPGRADE (or similar) marker file in / (root)
Thank you Veritas for logging this somewhere and not causing folks hours trying to figure it out. From the support guys I got: If vxconfigd isn't starting on boot up, check the following: cd /etc/vx/reconfig.d/state.d If there is a file "install-db" there, delete it. This gets put there by the installation program if the vx configuration is not done during installation. The vx configuration will be built correctly on the next reboot, or by the following command. To restart vxconfigd and rebuild the Vx database: vxconfigd -k -m enable Bryan Andrey Dmitriev wrote: > This was a fresh install of 5.0 with Mp1 applies on top, and MP1_R5 on top of > that. > I run vxinstall, it starts up just fine, but doesn't start up on reboot. > > Where do I look. > > Thnks. > > _______________________________________________ > Veritas-vx maillist - [email protected] > http://mailman.eng.auburn.edu/mailman/listinfo/veritas-vx > > _______________________________________________ Veritas-vx maillist - [email protected] http://mailman.eng.auburn.edu/mailman/listinfo/veritas-vx
