Hello Pavel,

AFAIK that was only possible on VxVM up to 3.x , it's a shame it doesn't
work anymore that way. I've used it on 3.x, but fails on 4.x and 5.x

Asunto: [Veritas-vx] vxdisk init a single disk slice ?

Hello all!

I know it was possible to add a disk slice (partition) into veritas
diskgroup.

It could be done with vxdisk init command like vxdisk -f init cot1d0s0
type=simple

Is it still possible in 5.1SP1 ?

It seems to me not.

vxdisk -f init c1t5d0s0 type=simple

Gives error: Device has a UFS FS on it

When trying with

vxdisk -r init c1t5d0s0 type=simple

Gives error : Device is in use as a FS_wholedisk

Regards, Pavel Tsvetkov
