Hi Jim, I, and several other people here at Sofa, use Knox to keep all of my working copies in encrypted disk images. None of us have run into this problem yet.
Are you using any third party application to mount and unmount the disk image, or is it just a disk image you created with Disk Utility and mount yourself by double-clicking it in the Finder?
