Hi all.

What you really need is a good bugtracker.

We currently use redmine to do it - it is open source, supports all that you
need and might need in the future, including fourm, bugtracker, version control
system (most of them) and much more.
Not sure if it exists somewhere as a free hosted project but worth to google
for it.

In my opinion google groups was rather the attempt to adopt free groups feature
to what you need.

Cheers
Ivan.
