This version is already in my Personal Package Archive (PPA). Directions for adding a PPA repository in Ubuntu can be found here: https://launchpad.net/veusz/+announcement/2374 (Click through for more detailed instructions.)
Basically you add two lines either in synaptic or manually in your /etc/apt/sources.list and then install as any other package. The gpg key thing will allow you to verify that the package came from me and didn't get changed after the package got built by Ubuntu. It protects against both malware and corrupt downloads, so please don't ignore the warning and do add the key. In general the PPA will have the latest SVN update between 30 minutes and 24 hours after the SVN commit. I get e-mail notifications of the SVN commits and it all depends on when I check my e-mail. It will probably be automated at some point, which will make the lag closer to 30 minutes. The Ubuntu servers do the actual building of the packages and they take a few minutes to build and add the packages. If you use Ubuntu, please add the PPA and install veusz, because this is supposed to help increase the priority for inclusion in the official release. If it doesn't help, at least you have the bleeding edge Veusz package!
