Hi Jeremy,

I really like veusz but I am having trouble importing date time data
into it. I normally import data from excel using the .csv format.
Being a geographer the date time data is important to me. Veusz will
import it but as a column but then treats each value in that column as a
separate column with O values within it. I've tried various formats but
once veusz "sees" the : in the time data and / or the space between the
date and time it does the above. Any ideas, suggestions fixes would be
greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the delay - I'm at a conference. Veusz uses ISO format date/time,
i.e. 2010-01-01THH:MM:ss (T is optional here).
I don't know what the standard format is for CSV dates and times (if there
is one). If there is one, Veusz should be using it.
It wouldn't be too hard to add support for more date-time formats if they
are easily distinguished.
I'll have a look later, but if you send me an example CSV file or snippet it
would be handy.

Just wondering how I would go about writing a script that will set Veusz
to reload a linked .csv or .tsv file at specified intervals?
Sorry - at a conference at the moment so reply is brief. Are you wanting to
do this from within Veusz or using the Python interface?
It would be difficult to do within Veusz - I think the plot might not update
until the script has completely finished (need to check this).
You could try this sort of technique in your script but it may not work.
I'll have to look at it later
import time
for i in xrange(20):
ReloadData()
time.sleep(2)
