Hello Jeremy,
I have been a Matlabber for a while and wanted to move to Python so
that we wouldn't have to keep paying for new licenses (in addition to
the coolness of OSS). Anyway, I've tried using Matplotlib and found
that it's GUI is extremely lacking. Thus I turned to Veusz, which
promises to be super amazing. However, I really want to build the plot
on the fly in addition to interact with it once it's up there. Thus,
it would be nice if we Windows peeps could install it and call its
functions from Python. When I try to build, I get the following:
C:\Some\Path\Here\veusz-1.12>python setup.py build
running build
running build_py
running build_ext
building 'veusz.helpers._nc_cntr' extension
error: Unable to find vcvarsall.bat
I would like to build with MinGW. I tried searching for the phrase
"vcvarsall.bat" throughout the folder but could not find it. Is there
something I could do to help so it could integrate with Python for
Windows (I have a little time on the weekends)?
