Does anyone experience often Veusz crashes with large projects (e.g.
more than 5 pages, 10 graphs, etc.) like I do?

I haven't seen this on Linux.

The crash usually happens when one changes the property value, or zooms
in/out. At the moment I get only a sudden error message from Windows
indicating that the problem appears in 'veusz.helpers.qtloops.pyd'. Does
anyone know what this module is responsible for?

This is the C/C++-level module which does most of the drawing - it optimizes repetitive drawing operations. Is this a Windows error message or a Veusz error dialog?

I use the latest (1.16) Veusz version on Windows XP Pro SP3, it appears
that there is enough memory (~2 gb is available).

Could there be a problem with the memory on your computer? Have you run a memory tester recently (e.g. memtest86)? Try a different computer if possible. It might also be a graphics driver bug.

If it is reproducable, please send me an example. You could also temporarily removes the qtloops file from the Veusz directory - this should make Veusz revert to python-based drawing.
