On Unix, Veusz keeps its preferences in ~/.config/veusz.org/veusz.conf
If you delete this file, it should work again.
On Windows, the preferences are kept in the registry. On Mac OS the file
is typically in ~/Library/Preferences/org.veusz.veusz.plist
I'll add something to the FAQ...
Probably I should catch exceptions in plugins to allow the startup to
proceed.
