Rene,
You have the right to have and use as many tools as you want. The tyer with the
most tools is the winner even if you don't use them all. LOL   I can't tell you
how many tools I have accumulated over the years that I don't use. I have not
picked up a whip finisher in over 25 years, I have about a dozen hackle pliers
but use only one. Scissors ????? I use two, one straight and one curved, I will
quit here.
Have a good day.
Tony

Hi Tony and friends,
I don't feel bad anymore when I look into my toolbox with all these
scissors.
Right now I'm tying for Iain's 2nd wet fly swap, have 6 scissors on the
bench, use all of them for the pattern. Not for each fly but for the 1st
fly I used the curved small one, for the second fly this strait
surgical... <G> Well, to cut the thread at the head and for the tinsel
it's always the same, I mean one for the thread and one for the tinsel.
On the other side:
for 90% of my tying I use 4 tools only:
vise
bobbin
scissor(s)
needle.

Whip by hand. Have so many specialized tools, need only 4.
Ok, sometimes my wirl for dubbing loops. Sometimes I recognize, there
are evenings when I do not ty but play with tools
