Amen to that first quote - now the second one - is that you Jimmy? Is that your quote? I have never caught one planing like a speed boat. I would like to that sound fun. I did have a trout take my EHC in the air as the fly was still moving over the water. The fish came out a good two feet to snatch and finish his jump. I had a trout on the Green act like a shark. I was drifting a Chernobyl Ant and a big brown's fin broke water about three feet from the fly and it hammered that fly. It was all I could do not to set the hook too early. - Ah memories.
