Hi Gang, I'm in the market to buy an additional jacket for winter fishing. I have already a Wading Jacket from Orvis which I like most, now I'm looking for something which keeps me dry and warm even in Winter, and not only for fishing.
When I browse through the shops, I see that outdoor jackets like from Jacke Wolfskin or Patagonia go with 150 to 250 EUR, even ones which look 'top end'. (Lined, flexible, etc.), When I look for jackets which are marked as fly fishing jackets, they go from 300 to 500 EUR. That;s valid also for companies which sell 'regular' and 'ff-jackets'.My question is now: Why are these ff jackets so much expensive? Is it possible to cast a line while wearing a 'regular' shell?
