Bob, I either use Hard as Nails as head cement or Minwax Polycrylic Water Based Protective Finish which dries clear.
I bought an 8 oz can and I have had it for years. It never dries out and I would be glad to share some with you at next weeks tying class. Just bring a small empty bottle.
