The Mallard roof is what stops most tyers, and if you get a chance sit
with Paul Little of the UK, I think he could set the Mallard with a
blind fold on. He's good and can teach the technique.

I like Mike Renedcich - Tying the Classic Salmon Fly
I have this book at the photos and illustrations are great for tying in
wings. Also there are a ton of wing options shown and discussed. With
this book I never had any issues with my wings. In fact it is the
easiest part of an ATS full dress in my opinion. It is the other parts,
perfect body, tippets and crests that I find the most difficulty with.
If only we could just tie in the wing I would do so many more.
Now, however, I believe there should be a ton of videos on youtube to
help you out.

Do any of you know a good resource to show how to do married wings?
Everything I have does not show how to put the feathers together.
Rick

Subject: [VFB] re: feather wings/married wings
Just spent the whole day at a workshop learning how to tie
married wing salmon flies. As I went to tie on the married
wings, they promptly fell apart..think they were divorced or
something, and the whole thing went shief ( kaput, south). So,
any hints on tying feather wings to keep them upright and not
falling apart..I'd welcome them. Joyce--
