Neville: Thanks. I notice that tackiness as well, even though the glue had turned as hard as a rock. I’ll try the head cement too. Chuck

They have different ratings such as nm which I believe refers to the wavelength and mW to the power so there is a need to match as close as possible the wavelength and power to the type of resin. I have used Bug Bond for a couple of years and also Loon with good results except there is always a very slight tackiness after applying the UV light and I fix that by applying thin clear head cement. But, I found a guy selling them for only $3.35 on ebay last week, (see the sellers link below. Not sure if he has any more at this time or not) and so, I bought one of them along with a bottle of Loons Thick UV glue (even though I usually don’t like Loon glues, it seemed to be the only company I could find that had a good price on it as well. Or at least it seemed to be the “mostest for the leastest” at the time and (see his link below as well). Anyway, that stuff is like magic. I wanted the thick stuff, as some of the poppers I was tying had a pretty big “groove” on the bottom on the ones that I was using really hard foam, or balsa wood to tie onto and couldn’t just get a hook THROUGH the foam or wood, so I had to cut a “groove”. Anyway, put this glue into the grove, and start backwards counting 5-4-3-2 BAM, the stuff was rock hard before I could even get to zero LOL... Amazing stuff. And I don’t think I’ll find another light from anybody else at that price either.. And like I said, I don’t like Loon’s head cement, but their UV glue seems to be working like a champ. Now I can tie patterns like the heads on the “Dace” flies, and many others through the years, but needed a rotating wheel that I couldn’t afford either LOL..Chuck http://www.ebay.com/itm/201024795437?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/151258002351?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VFB Mail" group.
