Bill: Yes, I cast them both on my Wal Mart special $39.95 Crystal River “Cahill” rod. I do se a cpl bells and whistles the Orvis has that the no name doesn’t line welded loop ends on both ends for easier tie on to the backing and to the leader ad well as the fact that the Orvis line has it’s name, w/f and length stamped onto the line for easy recognition. So, overall the Orvis IS a better line. However, for ten fold the price, it should be, Chuck
