John,

first of all: Keep swapping and keep tying.....

I was in appr. 30 swaps in the last 2 years. Probably 50% of them from VFS.
Here are my experiences and thoughts:

-- I NEVER lost flies in a swap. I know that other have different
experience.
-- ALL SWAPS are delayed. I am currently in a swap from VFS which is delayed
for 2 months. But there is still hope.
-- Not all people read their e-mails daily, so give the swapmaster a bit
time to answer.
-- Now the bad point. VFS is shooting down their swap pages. They have to
change the hosting service, that leads to a redesign (and new programming)
of the swap pages, money they cannot effort. Therefore the link to the site
is down.

I checked the site, try this link:

http://www.flyshop.com/scripts/Flyswap/joinswap.cfm?identification=1096

It should link you to the old page where you'll find the emails of the other
participants.
With seperate email I send you the contend of the site. Hope this helps.

BTW: This story shows how important it is that the swapmeisters keep a line
to their participants.

Greetings

Rene/Germany

Standard disclaimer: I have no affiliation with VFS, only a satisfied user
in the past.
