When I worked in Alaska, Ed Ward would tie some of the most beautiful flies you ever saw, Big beautiful streamers, and when I saw him heading to the docks for the swim I would always follow him. If the fly didn't swim just right you would have a new fly. I caught many fish on flies that didn't pass his Quality control. I wish I still had some of those flies, but I lost them all to either fish, bottom or people. Ed Ward was the Black Sheep in the Steelheader's Bible.
