Hey Dean and all, I'd like to hear how they work for you there! This discussion has been interesting. It got me to thinking about Borger's Devil Bug being a very similar type of fly (sans hackle, though). I know he ties that in various colors and in sizes all the way down to 22! I've never tried a Devil Bug, Tied-Down Caddis or Werner Shrimp in anything smaller than 16. As a kid we fished big ol' #8s on the Upper Deschutes for browns. I would have a tough time fishing one that big now. Ahh, the innocence of youth, huh? I've been conditioned to smaller, smaller, smaller...for the most part. Monte
