Tye 'em plump, like a Hare's Ear. Single color. After tailing, dubbing the abdomen, & wrapping the rib, tye in 4 or 5 strands of Krystal Flash. Dub a nice, fat thorax. Now, pull the Flash forward, like a wingcase. Here's the weird part, tye the Flash down in front and fold it back. Tye it down at the rear of the thorax, fold it forward and tye it down again. Tye off and trim. This triple layer of Krystal Flash gives it some real depth. Other than the flash trick, it's as simple as they get. Don't forget to pick the dubbing out to hide the thread going back & forth under the thorax.
