GARY , here's the dressing I've used for 20 years..
DOC SPRATLEY
Hook = 3X or 4X, #2-10
Tail = Guinea flank Fibers
Rib = Oval Silver Tinsel
Body = Black wool yarn or chenille or dubbing
Hackle = Grizzly, 4 wraps
Wing = Pheasent tail fibers, tyed in like a bucktail wing.
tips reaching to about half the tail length.
Head = Peacock Herl
A Great stillwater pattern!!! I've also used it for Steelhead.
