What are you tying ? I use the old wire windings found in old radios which
looks o be around 26 SWG. Have never tried to measure it so cant give you a
size. Sorry !
For 10 to 12 hooks I would use a medium wire and smaller a fine wire. Thats
how it seems to be sold as fly tying materials.
