I would like to ask if any list members have tied or fished Zing-Wing
Flies as described by an article by John Betts in the Sept., 1993 issue
of FLY FISHERMAN?
For any that did not see the article(yes, I realize it was a long time
ago) Zing is a cellophane like material. The example of it I purchased
is called CELO-Z WING, and was packaged by Spirit River.
In his article, Betts described tying largely caddis imitations and
fishing the flies both wet and dry, dead drift and with movement. Do any
list members have any experience with these flies? Do they catch fish?
Any feed back would be welcome. Thanks, Dennis Higgins
