Jimmy,
I float a lot of tailwaters and various rivers in the Ozarks, some fairly
hairy depending on the conditions. I got mine from Bass Pro shop and my pontoons or
only 96". My friend Larry has the River Tamer with the longer pontoons. I
can't tell any major difference between the two as for as handling. With your size
you are better off with the longer pontoons.
Just remember to inflate it sufficiently(hard to the touch) and deflate it in the
summer time to allow for expansion from the heat.
It takes about 12-15 min to assemble after the first time. Directions are in Chinese
American so they may be confusing.
If you want to see how it handles on a tailwater come to NOARK this June and float the
White with us.
