Steve, we came out to use loop to loop or surgeons knot for this job. Each knot should have 1 or 2 wraps more than for mono leader to compensate the slippery of the fluocarbon. I personally intend to avoid blood knots in general. Not easy to tie and the butts always stick a bit out of the knot and catch the line or leader. The double duncan knot is easier to tie and you do not have to worry about the butts. Regards Rene Germany,Cologne
