In the Shenandoah Valley here in VA, we have been in a state of drought over
the last three years.Accumuatively, the water tables are at their lowest
since the early 1930's! Right now we are receiving some rainfall , but not
enough. The mountain streams are holding fishable amounts of water overall ;
the Shenandoah River is expected to produce some real sizeable smallmouth due
to the lower water , but I hate to see what the hot Summer weather will bring
to this region of our state. Fortunately, the Shenandoah Valley sits over an
abundance of some underground rivers; some say could never go completely dry.
One such river is supposed to run all the way up and down the east coast! How
unique a place this is!
