Sounds like you had an enjoyable trip, in spite of what you were there for.  Hope all is as well as it can be for you and your family.  A lot of folks you talk to who really know and do a lot of tarpon fishing will tell you that 60 pounds is a nice sized tarpon for the fly fisher. :-)  Anybody else ever heard that?  I once watched Jack Gartside jump a couple of them that might have approached 40 pounds, and armed with a Fenwick HMG 905, and even as difficult as it is to rattle Jack, I think that would have left some pretty serious skid marks in his shorts... :-o
