Doug,   I hope that your fishing partners/the people you meet on the stream would NEVER laugh at you or make fun of your flies NO MATTER WHAT they looked like.  If they do...I wouldn't trust their opinion (nor would I seek it.)  That is just simply not a gentlemanly way to act.    Show me any tier...even the illustrious DonO (boy am I opening myself up to get blasted on this) who doesn't have something to learn...and something to teach as well!  (Note...before I die, please understand that I hold DonO's tying in the highest regard...I just use him as an example because he lives halfway across the country and I know that I can run faster than him).   Chris
