I apply the tiniest amount of a quality super-glue where the end of the line is in the loop. I then secure the other end of the braided sleeve by binding it with thread. 3/0 Monochord will be fine but I would chose an unwaxed thread. The easiest way to make a neat binding, is to have the thread in a fly-tying bobbin, and having secured the end of the thread around the sleeve loop connector, spin the bobbin around the line and the sleeve. You can guide it with your fingers. When you nearly have enough thread, place a mono loop under the thread and give a few more spins. Then cut the thread, place the end in the mono loop and pull it through. Apply another tiny (and I mean really tiny) bead of superglue and the job is done. Alternatively, you can use Goodyear pliobond cement. White thread is probably the most unobtrusive colour.   Neville Gosling Greater Vancouver, BC
