I had not weighed in on this thread before dean stated that I agreed with him that that was a fly. That most certainly is not a fly. It is a mister twister grub with a bucktail wing. Musky lures have bucktail tied to the hook too, they are not flies! But the next fly you show, the 1040 i believe you called it. I would say IS a fly. It is made with fly tying materials, a tail (which you can buy in the cabelas catalog), crystal chenille and a wing. Fly tying materials= A fly. I believe I learned that lesson from Mr. Don Ordes when I told him his flexo tuna was not a fly.
