Dr. Doug,
I was going to e-mail you privately but decided I had better set the record
straight on a public forum. First of all, thank you for the kind words.
Second of all, I am no brain surgeon!!! Third, I was only smiling because
I was away from work!?! Doug is a great guy himself as were the other VFB
members. I was glad to meet Jimi, Rene, and Mark. I had already met Tony
because he got me started going to shows in the first place about 4 years
ago. I guess I should blame him for giving me an excuse to take two long
weekends off a year to "play"! I wish more VFB members could have been
there. Next year Byard is just going to have to charter a bus and pick
people up as he winds his way across the country on the way to Mountain
Home! Oh, and bring your wooden boat so we can all fish the White. Thank
you to Tony and the other members of the North Arkansas Fly Fishers for
putting on this great show. Glad to meet the members that were there and
hope to see more of you next year.

Mr. Fly tier hisself! He is a large animal vet with the precision of a
brain surgeon! Really nice guy! Put up with me on several occasions
asking for a special hook.
Smiled a lot.
His son, Brandon, tied right at his dad's side. That young man will be a
force to be reckoned with soon! Trout are already whispering his name in
the back eddies of the White River.
