I've been fishing a black and red clouser with some gold and green flash. I'm using these at nite in the small salt back water areas near my house (Long Island Sound). For some reason they (the flies or the colors) seem to be just the right thing after dark. I've been catching schoolie stripers ,up to 18" and fluke up to 20". I gotta find some larger patterns now that the bait and stripers are getting larger, but I think I'll stick to the colors for the nite fishing, they really get some great results. Good luck. P.S. Still haven't used that wire leader material your gave samples of ,but hopefully will try some in Montauk this fall.
